Lots being going on over the past couple of weeks what with both my boys having their birthdays and the Easter holidays – all of which has been great fun. I have, however, kept my nose to the ground and have a couple things to update you on about my favourite subject CANNABIS……….
This is truly a great story and I am so pleased for him and his family, as it has helped him enormously, in controlling his life threatening form of epilepsy.
It will also help lead the way in that it has now set a precedent and should enable others to benefit.
This will continue to add to the ever growing pressure that we must put on the government and other world leaders to carry out extensive studies in order to fully understand its true capabilities.
And then there was this…
‘US government has added a page on the use of cannabis and
cannabinoids to their official cancer advice website ‘
The National Cancer Institute, part of the US Department of Health,
now advises that ‘cannabinoids may be useful in treating the side
effects of cancer and cancer treatment’ by smoking, eating it in baked
products, drinking herbal teas or even spraying it under the tongue.
The official government site has a long list of medicinal uses of
cannabis, including: anti-inflammatory activity, pain relief,
anti-anxiety, stress relief, anti-tumor, antiviral activity and
relieving muscle spasms caused by multiple sclerosis and many, many
The site goes on to talk about how cannabis has been proven to destroy
cancer cells in lab experiments. Some really positive news for those of us desperate to find a cure!
Check this out also for an understanding of how our endocannabinoid system works.
