Good Afternoon Lovely people,
Well as promised but in typical ‘ Ammolla ‘ fashion of being late here’s the details about a wonderful man of whom has helped me recently with better understanding my body type and as such what foods my body does and does not need.
So what is an Ayurvedic consultation?
An Ayurvedic consultation is a comprehensive exam aimed at uncovering the root cause of what is ailing you. Traditionally, Ayurvedic diagnosis is made through careful listening to a detailed health history and/or a physical examination that involves evaluating the pulse and tongue. Both the health history and physical examination help to reveal underlying factors in the disease process. Instead of giving a remedy for each symptom, Our Dr diagnoses the fundamental imbalance that may be responsible for all of the symptoms.
Ayurveda is a very effective health solution to chronic and auto-immune disorders such as Arthritis, Diabetes, Obesity, Lupus, Crohn’s, Coeliac, Colitis, IBS, Anxiety, Depression, Asthma, Eczema, Psoriasis and many more.
Therapies may include, but are not limited to: herbs, diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and stress prevention. The personalized strategy you will receive in your consultation will simplify, harmonise and energise your life with tools that can help you reduce stress, balance weight, support moods, crave healthier foods, promote immunity, calm the mind, and enjoy more vitality. In addition to learning the tools, you will learn how to effortlessly integrate these new habits into your daily life.
Born in Kuwait and raised in Kerala, Dr Shijoe Mathew Anchery was always interested in a career in medical science. After his initial schooling in Kuwait, his family settled in their hometown of Allappey in Kerala, South India. The land of pure and traditional Ayurveda influenced the curious teenager. Having heard many fascinating stories of his great-uncle who was an Ayurvedic Netra-Vaidya (traditional eye doctor of Ayurvedic medicine), he eventually decided to learn and spend his life dedicated to the study and propagation of Ayurveda.
After commencing his Ayurvedic study in 2003 (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery- BAMS) from Vishnu Ayurveda Medical College in Palakkad, Kerala; Dr Shijoe Mathew went on to practice and learn Ayurveda under many eminent Ayurvedic scholars in various parts of Kerala, Hyderabad, Rishikesh and Ahmadabad. During this time, he also came across the traditional practice of Ayurvedic toxicology treatments from where he also learnt the traditional art of “Nadi Pariksha” or Ayurvedic pulse examination.
